Half Day Walks in the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales
If you love the great outdoors, and think you would enjoy the thrill of exploring the beautiful countryside and hills with a friendly, knowledgeable guide to bring the experience to life, then why not try a half day walk with Peak Walking Adventures!
Alternatively, you may prefer a
full day walk, or
short break of several days walking, which are also available all year round.
Our 'taster' half day guided walks are usually available on Wednesday afternoons, and Saturdays. Full day walks are available most days of the week.

Our walks are ideal for couples, friends, singles and small groups of adults. Young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be responsible for them, and children under 13 can participate only if agreed by us in advance. It is sometimes possible to bring dogs on our walks. Please check with us if you would like to bring your dog.
You will need to be fit enough to walk up to 6 miles over sometimes rough, hilly ground, and climb over stiles. Strong comfortable walking boots or shoes are essential and at most times of the year waterproof clothing should be carried.
Most of our half day walks are in the Derbyshire Dales. Our programme is usually as follows but may vary occasionally.
Wednesday Afternoon | Explore Stanton Moor, high above the Derwent Valley. We will see interesting features such the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, the Earl Grey Tower, and the Cork Stone, and learn about the importance of this wild and beautiful place to our ancient ancestors. |
| Saturday Morning | A walk in the scenic countryside and woodland around Chatsworth. See the pretty estate villages of Beeley and Edensor, admire magnificent views from Beeley Hilltop, and finish with a gentle strole along the banks of the river Derwent. |
| Saturday Afternoon | From a pretty peakland village, we walk up to Baslow Edge for stunning views of the Derwent Valley and beyond before returning on lower level countryside paths and lanes. |

The price is £20 per person with a £10 deposit payable upon booking.
