To create your Guided Walking Holiday:
There are basically two options with regards to the guided walking:
Join a group walk (when available)
Hire your own Personal Walking Guide
You can create your walking holiday entirely from group walks (when available), entirely with a Personal Walking Guide, or a combination of both. Further information on both options is below, and the calendar at the bottom of the page shows what is available on which days.

Our group guided walks are available on a few consecutive days each month and can be combined to create your guided walking holiday in the Peak District or Derbyshire Dales. We guarantee that you will be in a small group of no more than 6 people with each guide. Our group walks range between 8 and 12 miles (13 and 19 km) and are sometimes over rough, steep, or boggy ground.
Our group walks take place in the
three distinctive areas of the Dark Peak, the White Peak, and The Derbyshire Dales.
A summary of our group walks for 2012 follows, but for full details, click on the relevant dates on the calendar at the bottom of the page:
March 3rd & 4th. Two walks in the Dark Peak
March 9th - 11th. Three walks focused in the Derbyshire Dales
April 6th - 10th. Five walks in the Dark Peak
June 8th - 10th. Three walks in the Derbyshire Dales
June 22nd - 24th. Three walks in the Dark Peak
August 2nd - 5th. Four walks in the Dark Peak

For any of the above walks that are indicated Details available soon - contact us now to register an interest and will will let you have the details within the next few weeks.
The village of Hathersage makes an excellent base for our Dark Peak group walks. We recommend accommodation in Hartington for our White Peak group walks, and for our Derbyshire Dales walks the town of Matlock is convenient. See our suggestions for accommodation
We encourage you to consider arriving by public transport. Both Hathersage and Matlock are easily accessible by rail. If the guided walk doesn't start and finish at your accommodation, then we can arrange for you to get to the starting point. The nearest railway stations to Hartington for our White Peak holidays are Buxton, Macclesfield, Stoke-on-Trent, Matlock or Derby and you may need a taxi for the onward journey to Hartington.
If you are fairly fit and enjoy a challenge, you may wish to try our Peak District Trek Training Challenge Walks. These tend to be longer and involve more ascent and decent during the day than our standard group walks. There are usually two or three of these challenge walks available on consecutive days each month which can be booked together to create a challenging guided walking holiday in the Peak District.
The cost of joining a group walk is £35 per person per day with a £10 per person per day deposit payable upon booking.
