Corporate Walk Conditions & Cancellations

If you wish to change your booking

If after your booking has been confirmed, you wish to transfer it to another date, we will make every effort to accommodate your wishes so long as we receive written or e-mailed confirmation from the person that made the booking. We cannot guarantee however that we will be able to meet your needs. Any deposit paid will be forfeited if we agree to transfer your walk.

We will not agree to a transfer of booking to another date for requests made less than 28 days before the date of the booked walk.

If you wish to cancel your booking

If you or any member of your party needs to cancel the booking, this should be done in writing or by e-mail by the person who made the booking. No refund is payable. However if you cancel more than 28 days ahead of the walk that you have booked, we will offer you the opportunity to re-book for a walk of the same value on an alternative day during the same calendar year.  Any deposit paid will be forfeited if we agree to transfer your walk.

If you cancel 28 days or less in advance of the walk that you have booked, the full cost will be charged.

If Peak Walking Adventures needs to cancel your booking

In the unlikely event of Peak Walking Adventures having to cancel your booking, you will be offered either a full refund of monies paid, or transfer to another walk of the same or higher value. We will not be liable for any additional costs or expenses incurred. We usually only cancel walks if we consider it would be unsafe to walk due to extreme weather conditions.

Booking and Payments

Advance booking is essential. We will charge a deposit to reserve a walk date which will be deducted from the final payment. Final payment must be made in advance of the walk.

A booking may not be considered as definite until confirmation has been received from us following final payment.

Accommodation

In most instances, you are responsible for booking your own accommodation.

Bad Weather and Conditions

We walk in all weathers unless the walk leader considers it is unsafe to do so. We reserve the right to change the itinerary or walking routes for safety reasons in poor weather conditions.

No refunds will be made if you decide not to walk due to weather conditions.

Rights of Admission

Peak Walking Adventures reserves the right to refuse a booking or debar a person from participating in our walks, if in our reasonable opinion their participation is likely to cause distress, annoyance or damage to themselves, other customers, or our walk leaders. This includes participants who fail to advise us of a medical condition or disability which prevents their full participation in the walks, and participants who we believe may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It also includes participants who in the opinion of the walk leader are not properly clothed or equipped to enjoy the walk in safety. We are not responsible for any inconvenience or costs incurred as a result.

We may accept dogs on our Corporate Walks where the group agrees to this collectively, and the owner agrees to take full responsibility for their pet, working within the conditions and requirements set down by the guide before the walk commences.

We are keen to be accessible and inclusive, so if you have a trained assistance dog, please contact us on info@peakwalking.com

Dogs

We may accept dogs on our Corporate Walks where the group agrees to this collectively, and the owner agrees to take full responsibility for their pet, working within the conditions and requirements set down by the guide before the walk commences. Please do contact us if you have a query.

Your Responsibilities:  Where dogs are allowed on walks, owners must take full responsibility for their pet, working within the conditions and requirements set down by the guide before the walk commences.   This includes:

  • Ensuring your dog is well-behaved and fully under your control at all times.
  • Ensuring your dog is on a lead (we are walking in areas with protected wildlife and livestock). We also cannot wait if your dog runs off.
  • You are responsible for clearing up dog waste on paths or pavements.
  • You are confident that your dog is properly equipped (water, treats, coat etc) for the walk and weather, and is able to manage the distance terrain and ascents/descents on the walk you have chosen.

Assistance Dogs:  We are keen to be accessible and inclusive, so if you have a trained assistance dog, please contact us to see how we can best accommodate you and your dog’s needs and wishes on any of our walks.

Parental Responsibility

Children under the age of 13 are only accepted by prior agreement on our group walks.

Parents or legal guardians must accompany young people under the age of 18 and undertake full responsibility and supervision of them at all times. This is due to legal and licencing requirements.

Insurance Risk

Peak Walking Adventures will make every reasonable effort to ensure your safety, but you must accept that walking in remote upland terrain and even on low level paths is not without risk to personal safety and the safety of others. We strongly recommend that you have adequate insurance cover for personal accident and personal liability.

We also recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance if appropriate.

Website Accuracy

We believe that our website is accurate at the present time. We reserve the right to make changes, which will be notified to you.

Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint about your guided walk on the day, you must notify your walk leader and they will do their best to resolve the problem.

Should it not be possible to resolve the issue at that time, you should put your complaint in writing by e-mail to Richard Tower on info@peakwalking.com, or call 07913 549483, no later than 28 days after your walk. Receipt of complaints will be acknowledged within 14 days. All complaints will be thoroughly investigated and you will be kept informed throughout the process.
