Peak Walking Adventures was awarded Gold for ‘Experience of the Year’ in the 2026 Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards.
The announcement was made at an Awards Ceremony on 18 March at Derby County Football Club and followed a record number of entries. East Midlands winners and finalists were announced across 35 awards categories recognising excellence across the area’s tourism sector – spanning hotels and B&Bs to attractions, pubs, cafes and unique experiences. Nominees had progressed through a rigorous judging process – including mystery visits and independent expert assessment.

Peak Walking Adventures provides guided walks, challenges, well-being experiences, history hikes and navigation training for individuals, groups and corporates. Walks range from 5 to 25 miles to suit a wide range of ages and abilities.

Following the awards ceremony, Gold winners in each core category will go on to represent the region at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in June 2026 – the highest national accolade in English tourism.
