Ashbourne (Hognaston) New for 2026!
Peak Walking Adventures owners, Sian and Richard, have created a self-contained B&B in Hognaston, in the Derbyshire Dales, close to the market towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth. Set in a converted 18th-century tailor’s shop, our “Peak Walking Retreat” offers space for 2–3 guests. Spread over two floors, it has its own private entrance and parking, providing a self-contained space where you can relax and unwind. Fifteen minutes’ walk from Carsington Water, the pretty village of Hognaston has its own pub. If you’re booking a guided walk with Peak Walking Adventures, we may be able to give you a free return lift to your walk. We can pick up from local stations too!
Ashbourne (Atlow)
On the edge of the Peak District National Park, tucked away in its own private valley, Atlow Mill is the perfect place to gather with friends and family to relax, unwind and spend time. Surrounded by rolling hills, a pretty brook and secluded woodland you can reconnect with nature and disconnect from the outside world. Ashbourne (Bradley)
Holly Meadow is an award winning farm Bed & Breakfast which lies in 280 acres of one of the most picturesque parts of Derbyshire in the village of Bradley near Ashbourne. There are outstanding views over unspoilt countryside. Two beautiful double en-suite rooms.

Ashbourne (Hognaston)
The accommodation forms part of a 17th century non-working farm in Hognaston, near Ashbourne, comprising the owner’s house, plus two rental properties: a beautiful detached barn for eight (Green Farm Stables) and a cosy cottage for two annexed to the farmhouse (Green Farm Cottage). The Red Lion Inn is 200m.

Ashbourne (Parwich)
The Barns are ancient cow sheds that have been tastefully converted to five star, luxury self catering cottages for two. They are located in beautiful countryside on the edge of the village of Parwich right in the heart of the area known as The White Peak. They have the Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award and the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark. Tom’s Barn is dog-friendly.
Bakewell
The Hall is conveniently located in the centre of Bakewell, making it a great base to explore all the Peak District has to offer. Providing a variety of accommodation to suit all travellers in a sympathetically restored Grade 2 Star listed building dating back to the 1600s, and their adjacent Sleep Lodge.
Bakewell (Litton)
The cottage, in the village of Litton is a luxury self catering cottage for 4 in the village of Litton which has a five star gold award. They have the Visit Britain ‘Walkers Welcome’ award and have acheived the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark award.

Darley Dale (Matlock)
Set in beautiful gardens with historic links to Sir Joseph Paxton and Chatsworth, Darley House is an award-winning self-catering house in Darley Dale, close to Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it is ideal for family gatherings, walking groups and special occasions. Nestled in the heart of the Vale of Edale, are Ollerbrook Cottages – two luxurious self-catering stone cottages sleeping 2-5 people. You can walk straight from the door up Kinder Scout or on the other side of the valley, up onto The Great Ridge. A fabulous location for some of the best hill walking in the Peak District.
Eyam

This is a quaint, traditional cottage in the heart of Eyam, a historic Derbyshire village steeped in history. The cottage has two bedrooms (one double and one with a pair of bunks). There is a secure back garden, and dogs are welcome. A good pub, two lovely cafés, and the village shop are all within a minute’s walk.
Foolow
The pub stands in the picturesque, limestone hamlet of Follow, close to the historic plague village of Eyam . A friendly team offer fresh, seasonal food using local ingredients in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, with local ales and internationally awarded wines and spirits. Deluxe Rooms boast a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, with everything you’d expect from a 4-star property.
Grindleford
Situated in a stunning location close to Chatsworth and Bakewell, The Cattle Shed, Grindleford was converted from an old cattle shed to create this rustic and contemporary luxury development, providing a unique venue for larger groups to enjoy the beauty of the Peak District National Park. The 11 beautifully appointed ensuite rooms and open plan lounge dining room with spectacular views across the Hope Valley make it the perfect space to celebrate that special occasion. Guests can relax in front of a real fire, dine alfresco on the large south-facing terrace or take advantage of the great local pubs and restaurants in the area. The large games room provides entertainment for people of all ages and there’s an additional terrace with barbecue and fire pit for those warm summer evenings, or crisp winter nights.
Glossop
A cosy one bedroom cottage. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park, this popular cottage sleeps 2/3 comfortably.
Hathersage
Sladen Lodge is a modern accommodation that can sleep up to fourteen guests. With seven bedrooms all equipped with an en suite, a very spacious lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area that can fit all your guests round, a smaller lounge and utility room, there is plenty of room. We also have off road parking that can fit up to seven cars and a large garden with a south facing patio.
Hathersage
Situated in the picturesque hamlet of Leadmill in Hathersage, Pond View Cottage is a unique, detached stone cottage for two, surrounded by breath-taking countryside, with walks from the door. Adjacent to a working Trout Farm, the cottage is located next to the owner’s home with access via an external stone staircase. It includes a delightful patio area overlooking a millpond.
Hope
Underleigh is an award winning 5 star B & B with 5 en suite bedrooms, tucked away on a private lane amidst glorious Peak District scenery near to the village of Hope. This is an ideal base for our Edale and Hope Valley Dark Peak guided walks for anyone arriving by car. Fantastic walks can be enjoyed right from the door.

Bike & Boot Peak District is a brand-new leisure hotel, catering for dog-owners, cyclists, walkers, and adventurers! Offering unique facilities such as a dog grooming room, drying room for walking gear, secure bicycle storage unit & maintenance – as well as free hot drinks for guests, free cake at 4pm, free on-site parking, and free films three times a day. Matlock (Rowsley, Chatsworth)
This bed and breakfast is located in the charming village of Rowsley just south of Chatsworth. It has an ‘Enjoy England’ 4 star B&B rating with three en-suite guest bedrooms and plenty of off-road parking. There are great walks right from the door.
Matlock
Derwent House offers self catering accommodation for up to 12 guests. It is an elegant grade II listed Georgian property set in the heart of Matlock and the perfect base for exploring the stunning Peak District National Park. The house has six bedrooms, so is ideal for larger groups.
Wirksworth (Centre)
A beautiful and stylish 1 double bedroomed (sleeps 2) 3 storey boutique style cottage. Situated in the heart of bohemian Wirksworth, in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the conservation area. Minutes walk to shops, bars, pubs, restaurants and a wonderful independent cinema. The hosts are highly rated as ‘superhosts’ by airbnb and their customers. If you book via airbnb, and mention you have been directed via Peak Walking Adventures, they will add an upgraded free welcome basket with wine, bread, cheese, pickle, crackers, biscuits and bottled water.
Wirksworth (Brassington)
Hoe Grange Holidays near the village of Brassington is a fellow Environmental Quality Mark holder and has won multiple awards for accessibility and sustainability. Set on a peaceful working farm, they have a range of luxurious self-catering log cabins and glamping pods. Ideal for relaxing after a day on the hills -especially if you treat yourself to a hot tub or log-fired sauna during your stay!
