Celebration Walks
You may be planning a team celebration, wedding, or birthday party in the Peak District and would like to start your day with a walk from your accommodation, perhaps finishing at a pub or hotel nearby, or at a train station so you don’t have to drive? We’d be happy to talk to you about your plans.
Our focus is:
- To listen to and understand your tour itinerary.
- To design a walk and make suggestions for you to share and discuss.
- To relate your requirements to logistics such as transport, accommodation and hospitality, making helpful recommendations.
- To share, as requested, our knowledge of local history, culture, wildlife and landscape.
- To seamlessly adapt to your participants’ wishes, delivering a friendly and professional client experience.

Client Experience - Data Reply Team
We were asked to arrange two linear walks as part of a team-away celebration walk, exploring the Peak District’s Manifold Valley, Thors Cave and Monsal Dale. Timing, distance and difficulty were carefully planned to meet pre-arranged transport from their accommodation taking colleagues to their evening hospitality. We set up the walks making recommendations to our clients with respect to logistics, transport and dining arrangements.
Client Viewpoint
Our walking guides were incredible! The walks (Manifold Valley, Thors Cave and Monsal Dale) were just the right amount of challenge for everyone. We had time to chat, walk and have some breaks in beautiful locations.

Client Experience - Family Gathering
A large family group travelling into the UK from across Europe wished to share a celebration walk that included wildlife, a gritstone plateau and historical interest, with an activity for younger members of the party. We set up a guided walk on Bleaklow, crossing wild moorland with curlews and mountain hares, to the summit of Bleaklow Head at over 600m/2000ft. For younger walkers, we set up a map reading exercise to find the Bleaklow Bomber – a US Superfortess which tragically crashed on Bleaklow in 1948 after a navigation error. When they found the plane we were able to share its history with the group before descending to the valley along the edge of a beautiful gritstone escarpment. The navigators got a prize for their efforts.

We so enjoyed our day with you at Bleaklow Ridge. In particular, we would like to thank you for involving the teenagers so fully – they loved learning navigating and pacing.
