Description
Key Features
- Peak Walking Retreat is in a separate wing of a traditional 18th-century Derbyshire cottage.
- Private entrance into a living area with a sofa bed (which can sleep an extra guest if needed), breakfast bar, fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. There’s also a downstairs loo, and a TV for your exclusive use.
- Stairs lead up to a generous bedroom with a bed that can be made up as a twin or a super-king, and an en-suite bathroom which has both a bath and a separate shower.
- At the front of the property is a private parking space, and a bench for guests’ sole use. The country pub opposite is a traditional Derbyshire inn, with a roaring fire in winter and benches to eat outside in summer.
Guest Access
- Guests have sole occupancy of the space, which has its own key safe, entrance, and parking space. The owners live next door but leave guests to their own devices during their stay and are on hand if needed.
- There isn’t a full kitchen, so guests’ crockery and cutlery is replenished after breakfast daily.
- Breakfast for your stay is provided in the private breakfast bar and fridge.
Locally
- The market towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth are both less than a 10-minute drive away. Derby is a 30-minute drive away.
- Carsington Water is a 15-minute walk or 5 minutes’ drive. Carsington Water >
